While bond yields tend to fall amid low inflation & interest rate cuts, market experts say they’ve been rising due to concerns over tax collections, fiscal deficit & potential impact of US tariffs.
A panel of experts moderated by ThePrint’s Editor-in-Chief Shekhar Gupta drew connections between insights of 1965 Indo-Pak War and strategic takeaways highlighted by Op Sindoor.
In its toughest time in decades because of floods, Punjab would’ve expected PM Modi to visit. If he has the time for a Bihar tour, why not a short visit to next-door Punjab?
So the high priest of journalism (of courage and truth – a tag line pilfered from Indian Express days) in India, the great Shekhar Gupta has collected yet another set of facist Hindu government ‘neutral’ bashers (They are genetically tested to prove their neutrality). Great job. If Shekhar is the body journalism, then ‘neuteal’ geniuses like Shailaja is the jewellery that the body wears. What a fascinating virtuous creature it is which is de-cluttering all the sins of the hounds led by Modi who have been prowling the streets named democracy and secularism in the country littering them with dead corpses and blood of the public. Such hatred under the garb of virtuous journalism deserves to be lauded by the Masters whom these neutral practitioners of opinion (of neutral kind only) makers serve. Shabaash, Mr Shekhar and his hand picked jewels in the crown that he alone wears today in our beloved country devastated by those who dare proclaim their souls are wrapped in skin, tissue & blood of Hindu kind – a shame, ain’t! Declutter this.
Rahul has committed just ONE HUGE mistake: He should have concentrated on rallying forces and winning the 2024 elections, rather than put all his eggs in one ‘Rafale’ basket to win this one. Rafale is a DUD election issue, and Rahul was found totally incapable of marshalling the opposition under one umbrella. His basic approach of constantly attacking Modi with cheap abuse and ridicule to the exclusion of anything else that is meaningful to voters has isolated him. No other opposition leader is using ‘Rafale’ as an election platform, whereas Rahul can talk of NOTHING else. He could have managed to burnish his image by intelligently participating in Parliamentary debates shorn of the ‘Hug & Wink’ stunts and cheap, meaningless angry gestures, which sound hollow. He seems to have lost not just this election but also has succeeded in sowing seeds of distrust and unreliability in his leadership among other opposition leaders. This will be a handicap in future too.
