Can Maruti’s 23% cut in production be explained by people making greater use of cabs? Frankly, there seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors at work. We all knew that the Jan Dhan accounts have not led to financial inclusion. Now come reports that 60% of toilets do not have water. I would be happy to read a sparingly honest column that evaluates the success of rural LPG supply as well.
