Jyoti provides comical relief in the times of tension! On Kashmir, please wait and observe how things move after end Sept. We all know the issues likely to be faced in the few districts of the Valley and trust our government to deal with them. So far, Modi has managed the external and internal dimensions very well. On Bangla Desh, let us be happy that it is doing well and hope there is reverse flow of Bangladeshis soon. In fact, why not even indian go and work there like we do in gulf? Jyoti would like to scare Modi by pointing to international reaction. That has failed, so she is now scaring him by pointing to ‘bad economic situation’ under him! But Modi seems to be hardly bothered about such dire warnings. Jyoti needs to grow mature and understand the issues comprehensively rather than emotionally.

Actually it is not unfair to compare India and Bangladesh. Apart from sheer numbers, a lot in common. Bangladesh could be UP, Bihar or Bengal, not Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu. They have pulled themselves by their bootstraps, done absolutely nothing that lay beyond India’s capabilities. What a fall from Beijing to Dacca, my beloved countrymen …
This is the kind of delusion that hurt India. Not Tamil Nadu. Ha ha! They have finished Tirupur. Get real.
One prays that the apex court will take suo moto cognisance of the Bangladeshi Foreign Minister’s statement in a press conference, in which he quoted our EAM’s assurance, Bangladesh will not be affected. That draws a curtain of finality over the NRC exercise. The lives and fate of 1.9 – earlier 4.1 – million people are at stake. If a conscious decision has been taken – and communicated to the concerned government – that there will be no deportations, it will be a travesty to continue with this charade.
Deportations to where? A deportation is possible only if there is a country to accept the deportee. Bangladeshi Foreign Minister has made a statement that “Bangladesh will not be affected”, but that doesn’t mean that Bangladesh would accept any deportees from India. In fact it has said in the past that it wouldn’t.
