The absence of top Indian government leaders from this year’s World Economic Summit in Davos is a missed opportunity to showcase our economic growth and promise, especially in an election year. Letting go of a chance that can score favourable political points is uncharacteristic of PM Modi and BJP.

Indian democracy is not a Hollywood-style conspiracy

To claim all Indian elections since 2014 were rigged is not just bizarre but incendiary. Questioning EVMs is one thing, but to accuse the world’s largest democracy of being a giant conspiracy is the script of a terrible Hollywood movie. India and its voters cannot be held in such contempt.

Mamata Banerjee must fight fair with BJP

BJP president Amit Shah launched his party’s poll campaign in Bengal but much drama preceded it. The Mamata Banerjee government is being accused of creating hurdles again, like it did ahead of BJP’s Rath Yatra. Banerjee should fight fair because this narrative could lead to increased polarisation in the state.
