The deal which has not been previously reported could raise broader privacy concerns about how much consumer data technology companies like Google quietly absorb.
Going through their Instagrams and dissecting their ‘statements’ is not the astute political commentary you think it is—it is time for us to back off from targeting 20-year-olds.
Companies are borrowing more from banks and public. Economists say high capacity utilisation & growing new orders could set stage for renewed investment push by India Inc.
New Delhi has, in past, too, objected to Chinese construction activities in Shaksgam Valley. Work in this strategic region gathered pace after the 2017 Doklam stand-off.
A theme has not yet emerged for BJP & people see lack of a contest, which makes it unexciting. For all these reasons, 2024 is turning out to be an unexpectedly theme-less election.
As usual, a very well written article by HH about the state of illusion of the State and it’s people live perpetually in, primarily because of the narrative they have be been taught everywhere in Pakistan. Living in denial has cost us alot already, but this unfortunate nation doesn’t bother to learn from their mistakes and to change the course taking us fast to complete collapse.
I see that 2 Pakistanis who commented on this article have nothing substantial to say. That pretty much sums up the caliber of the nation and its people when confronted with issues that bother the world, issues like Terrorism.
Pakistan, instead of becoming a welfare state for the Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent, became an Islamic state, considering itself a “citadel of Islam”. As M.J. Akbar once said, Osama bin Laden had to hide in the only place available to him where he could be sure of his safety and that was Pakistan.
There are umpteen number of Muslim nations and nobody thought it fit to protest a “draw a Mohammad” contest organized by Mr Wilders of Netherlands except Pakistan and is it then surprising that the guy arrested in Netherlands with reference to a video where he threatened to kill Mr Wilders was a Pakistani!
Pakistan today is a nation with no moral values, no direction. Like a rudderless titanic, it is fast heading towards a glacier.

Husain Haqqani’s predictable vitriol against Pakistan is surely welcome in the Indian press. But let’s address his logic about Aghan vs Pakistan Taliban. The TTP controlled a small part of the country namely Swat and were militarily kicked out. In Afghanistan, the Afghan Taliban control large parts of the country and the ineffective and corrupt Afghan army is unable to defeat them even with the help of the Americans. That’s the ground reality so please don’t insult people’s intelligence.
