Rahul Gandhi is a fifth-generation politician from the Nehru-Gandhi family and a senior Congress leader. He currently serves as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Entering politics in 2004, he contested from the family stronghold of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh, winning three consecutive terms before losing to the BJP’s Smriti Irani in 2019. However, he remained an MP by securing a win from Wayanad, a seat he held until 2024. He briefly served as Congress president from 2017 but resigned after the party’s poor performance in the 2019 General Elections.
Between 2022 and 2024, Rahul Gandhi led two major political marches—the 3,750-km Bharat Jodo Yatra (Kanniyakumari to Srinagar) and the 6,700-km Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra (Thoubal to Mumbai). In the 2024 elections, he made a strong comeback, reclaiming Amethi and assuming the role of Leader of the Opposition.
Pappy has become Papa of his rivals. Clearly shows the chest thumping and fake dreams castle building of an illiterate leader is losing it’s sheen
Ha ha ha … He will always remain Pappu. Kyuki pappu amar rehte hain, pappu kabhi nahi marte.
Ye to diya bujhne se pehle ke chamak hai. Congress leaders ki life aur difficult ho chuki hai coze puppus confidence will be soaring high.
I am amazed how after leaders media has distanced itself from reality.
This guy will always be a pappu.. Not matter what you biased medias profess for your personal narration… He has strived so hard to make a fool of himselves, all these years, i think it’s wrong to take it away from him now!
His “pappu”ness is defined not by victory of the party but by his extreme intelligence. If you are considering someone like this your leader, you probably belong to a sect of people who never grew after the era of cartoon network. The Print is obviously showing the class by making such statements.
A shadow Prime Minister too should be a good butcher. The Rajasthan campaign has clearly been sabotaged from within. There can be no justification for the Congress to be stuck at 100, when this was the one state out of three that was a slam dunk. Ashok Gehlot brought the party down to 21 in 2013, whereas Ms Raje has managed about 80.
