India is a South Asian country with the largest population in the world. It is a growing economic and political power in the region, and is known for its linguistic, cultural, and geographic diversity. Its large population and vast history mark its economic and cultural importance.
Even though India has a long history, its current borders can be traced back to 1947, when the country gained independence from British rule. Today, India has 28 states and 8 union territories, and its capital is New Delhi. India is one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world, and has many religions, sects, castes and tribes, as well as more than a dozen major and hundreds of minor linguistic groups.
People who do not hidentify with the culture in different part of the country and who are influenced by the westerners &their beliefs, practices were the members of ythe previous AWB members appointed by the corrupt UPA.True, these persons are full of contempt for anything pure Indian. That’s why they banned Jallikkattu, which is in fact to identify the robust native oxen to preserve the native variety of healthy cows and oxen. All the previous Board members did was to play into the westerners plot in eliminating local variety of cattle’s and instead or western cross versions of Jersey cows which are inferior, not suitable for Indians. Perhaps the UPA had smelt money in this process too!
Animal Welfare required firm commitment and dedication. The lifting of the ban on Jallikattu was politically motivated and must be restored.
I only call it a shame and the Government has no concern for animals. Love for cow and support for jallikattu are also politically motivated.
