I think the cow slaughter ban law should be challenged in the apex court on the ground of equality before the law. If someone in Goa – which has 2 Lok Sabha seats – can consume cow’s meat, which his CM is willing to ensure an uninterrupted supply of, or in the north east – with a score of seats – but someone in Gujarat could be put away for life for doing the same, all Indians are not being treated equally before the law. If the argument is that beef is traditional food for the Christians of the north east, that is equally true for Muslims, Dalits and Adivasis all over the country. This crazy campaign is damaging India’s social harmony and cohesiveness.

A disintegrated society can never prosper. After all men live for a limited time, can’t they live in peace as long as they live. The cow has become sacred in early years of twentieth century. Eating Beef had religious sanction by vedas. People must understand that Muslims born here and prospered here and they have determined to die here. They do not contribute to the Idea of Pakistan and never liked to migrate when partition took place. Muslims are integral part of the country and the country can not progress if they are destroyed to gain temporary power in politics. Stop hatred and bring back the integrated India that fought for independence shoulder to shoulder. They have given more blood to this soil than the RSS ideologues.
