New Delhi: The Delhi Police Saturday arrested two men who allegedly stalked and harassed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Nitish Rana’s wife in the national capital’s Kirti Nagar neighbourhood.

Rana’s wife Saachi Marwah went through the ordeal reportedly on Thursday night.

The two accused, identified as Chaitnaya Shivam of Pandav Nager and Vivek of Patel Nagar, were arrested from their houses.

The Kirti Nagar police station on Friday received the complaint which stated that the episode happened when Marwah was in a car with her driver on way to North Delhi’s Model Town neighbourhood from South Delhi’s Chattarpur area.

The alleged stalking and harassment took place at a traffic stop in Kirti Nagar, where two men allegedly “crossed her car at a high speed” before halting in front of it. The men then “started staring” at Marwah and “banged” the car using their hands.

Subsequently, an FIR was lodged Saturday after which the police began to scan CCTV footage from the neighbourhood that led to the arrest of the two accused.

Later, Marwah tweeted thanking the DCP West Delhi and the Kirti Nagar SHO for arresting the “the boys who committed a wrongful act under the influence of youth rage”.

ThePrint reached to the DCP West Delhi via call and text for comment but received no response till the publishing of this report. Marwah’s husband Nitish Rana is yet to publicly comment on the incident.

On Thursday night, Rana was busy in his IPL engagement as he led KKR to a 5-run win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
