An image of Delhi CM cutting a cake to celebrate his birthday is falsely being shared widely on social media.
New Delhi: A picture of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal celebrating his 50th birthday Thursday is going viral on social media.
Twitter users are criticising Kejriwal for his insensitivity towards former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee after the latter passed away Thursday. An unverified account on Twitter posted:

The tweet in Hindi said “Kejriwal, the world’s most disgusting man.” The post was retweeted by over 2,600 accounts.
However, the Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief did cancel his birthday celebrations owing to the critical health of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The image of Kejriwal cutting the cake was clicked before he cancelled the plan. The wall clock in the picture shows the cake was cut at 11:05 am, hours before the former PM succumbed to his prolonged illness. The official handle of AAP shared it on their Facebook page at around the same time.
At around 11:47 am, Nagender Sharma, media adviser to Delhi chief minister, tweeted that Kejriwal requested volunteers to cancel any birthday celebrations owing to the deteriorating health of the former PM and Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart.
Delhi CM @ArvindKejriwal requests party volunteers & well wishers not to celebrate his birthday in view of deteriorating health condition of former Prime Minister Sh Atal Behari Vajpayee ji. Volunteers are requested to refrain from visiting CM residence.

An All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) press statement said Vajpayee died at 5:05 pm Thursday.
The series of events clearly show that Twitter users jumped the gun as far as Delhi chief minister’s Kejriwal birthday celebrations were concerned.
