New Delhi: Actor Sudesh Berry has called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “Vishnu avatar” and said that, as a proud Hindu, he wants to wash his feet and drink that water.
During a podcast on Accompany Akki, the host reminded Berry of an Instagram video in which he washed his mother’s feet and drank the water. Responding to it, Berry took a different turn
“Now I feel I must wash Prime Minister Modi’s feet and drink that water as well,” the 66-year-old Border actor said in Hindi.
Berry also requested the host to help him meet the PM, saying he has never met him personally.
“Just as we worship God without having seen Him, I have the same level of respect for Prime Minister Modi,” he said. “It goes beyond politics and political parties.”
I want to wash Modiji’s feet and drink the water.

‘Today’s Pandavas’
According to Berry, Modi has brought back “Ram Rajya” to India. Criticising those who question the PM, Berry said a few things cannot be explained.
“People ask how someone who left his wife can lead a nation. I tell them that what couldn’t remain limited became limitless,” he said. “Try touching an idea, you can’t. Some things exist beyond the physical.”
Berry further suggested that, just as the Mahabharata had the Pandavas, today’s India has five key figures: PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, NSA Ajit Doval, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
“I’ll reveal the fifth name later,” he said.
Then he continued to praise PM Modi.
“His name alone is enough. Spend your day chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram, Jai Shri Hari‘ and see if anyone can shake you….Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi,” he chanted enthusiastically.
