Some wish to rehabilitate Godse, recalibrating his image from murderer to patriot. But in The Father and the Assassin, playwright Anupama Chandrasekhar doesn’t want to redeem him.
In contrast to the BJP's economic model, which benefits big industrialists, the Congress focuses on the masses who produce wealth from land and labour.
Moving to a cleaner environment comes with high costs. As India goes for net-zero emissions, it must include pollution abatement costs in its climate finance strategy.
Eight major regional satraps dominate the peninsula. An in-depth state-wise analysis of politics in South India may hold some merit to gauge what can unfold in 2024.
There is no real contradiction between India’s anti-Israel vote at the UN and its strong, public support for Israel. Both are simply different sides to the same, evolving story.

Pardon me. I too can’t immediately recall who has been feeding the imagination of the masses about invasions, re-occupations, blood-thirsty retributions, and immediate, iron-handed reprisals.
Mr. Jerry Rao, like most who have similarly graduated from India’s public-funded elite institutions, always behaves as if that one credential gained long time back granted to him for perpetuity…with no further need ever for right effort by him…soaring intellectual and moral superiority, and temporal entitlements, which others cannot question.
