The relationship with the soldier is deeply personal, often devotional. When an image is framed as a tribute—invoking sacrifice and nationalism—the instinct is to honour, not verify.
Official Chinese statements have described the drills as destabilising, warning that they risk escalation and that the participating countries are 'playing with fire.'
The silence may have to do with the state’s history of political violence. During the 2021 post-poll violence, BJP leaders 'ran away leaving their voters at the mercy of the mob'.
Even if there is an early agreement on a cessation of hostilities in Iran, the price shock will not go away easily. Global prices of oil and gas will remain elevated.
India’s university towns initiative is an opportunity to do something we have never managed at scale: build knowledge ecosystems rather than knowledge silos.
At both the Union and state levels, Indian policymakers should consider a recalibration away from sector-specific incentives towards economy-wide reforms.
The rules, which come into force on 1 May, establish an Online Gaming Authority which will determine whether a game is an online money game or online social game in only three situations.
American objectives are unmet. They neither have muscle nor motivation to resume the war. As for Iran, the regime didn’t just survive, it’s now led by more radical individuals.
Good research, but shallow conclusions. The so called LoP opens threatens, ECI, is a known rabble-rouser, carries arrogance in his body language yet you want the CEC to thank him and not point out the fallacies in the charges. Amazing, Singh Sahab.
Sir the BJP govt was correct in my opinion not to include cheif justic of india in the committee to select chief election commissioner. In India, i dont know why there is tendency to include judiciary in so many decisions. Its an executive domain. There is already so much judicial overreach.
Regarding Mr. Gandhi’s allegations, he has the knack to level the allegations and run away. I am scared what happens if he actually becomes the prime minister.
I do agree though that Election Commission should be flexible in ordering enquiries if any party levels the allegations.
I would also urge citizens (specially young people) to not learn the news from instagram but actually read the real news. People got swayed by Mr. Gandhi’s claim of constition in danger despite no proof on ground. After all his own grandmother did to constition what no other govt has done.
I wish Mr. Gandhi focuses on governing congress ruled states better. Till date I have not been able to figure out his economi agenda if he comes to power. Will he distribute govt money and make country bankrupt? Will he an extreme leftist lunatic? or will he be a reformer? No freaking idea.
No one will question that there are issues with the voter list. In such a large country it is going to be humanly impossible to get to an 100% accurate list. The focus should have been to take every effort to address the issue.
Instead what are witnessing:
– The LoP chose a public meeting to air the grievances. It was entirely within his reach to complain to the EC first and then come with a press conference on the insufficient action by EC.
– Since when did it became ok for the LoP to threaten public officials of “what we will do to you” when they come to power? Isn’t the LoP consistently setting a bad example with his utterances?
– Since when did it become normal for the Press to ignore such comments and pile on Public officials when they have no means to respond?
