ASEAN and GCC explore economic cooperation at WEF Special Meeting

Both sides explored opportunities for economic cooperation between the two regions, including by advancing cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.

At the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development, the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with the Chief Negotiator of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Raja Almarzoqi, an ASEAN org press release stated.

Both sides explored opportunities for economic cooperation between the two regions, including by advancing cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.

The Chief Negotiator and the Secretary-General discussed a range of issues, including the opportunity for enhancing cooperation in the areas of digital economy, industrial development, agriculture, and tourism.
