Rahul Gandhi is a fifth-generation politician from the Nehru-Gandhi family, a senior Congress leader and party MP from Wayanad in Kerala.
His entry into politics happened in 2004 when he decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the family seat of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. He subsequently won three times from there but lost to the BJP’s Smriti Irani in 2019. However, Rahul Gandhi, remained an MP because he won the election from Wayanad. He became the Congress party chief in 2017 but quit from that post after the Congress’ disastrous show in the 2019 General Elections. Cutting across months of 2022, 2023 and 2024, Rahul Gandhi has taken out two yatras — the 3,750-km Bharat Jodo Yatra (from Kanniyakumari to Srinagar) and the 6,700-km Bharat Jodi Nyay Yatra (from Thoubal in Manipur to Mumbai).

The BJP and RSS with the help of Modi and Amitsha manufactured the historical with thourugjh marketing plan. They did everything to make sure they remain in power. They should thank the media and the election commission who supported them from the word go. The fourth pillar of democracy looked completely one-sided. They never highlighted the havoc created in judiciary, education, and most importantly in the civil society.
So many intelligent disappeared and a few of them murdered. Many Dalits and Muslims were lynched, blasphemy against Mahatma was hailed, millions lost jobs, and we don’t understand how media hail the leaders who manufactured violence to polarised the electorate. The CWC is mostly the coterie of the family, so their obeisance is not surprising. The fundamental reason for the Congress party’s decimation is simple: it is an anti-Hindu party in a Hindu majority country. And that is because, the family is anti-Hindu. Use as many buzz words and clever semantic acrobatics as you want, but you can’t escape this simple fact. It is a different matter that the media, academia, NGOs and some parties refuse to see this simple fact because their livelihood depends on keeping their eyes closed or, worse, peddling lies.
