In commercial areas, arcades can protect people from the sun. Remarkably, the Fort area in Mumbai and Connaught Place in Delhi, both built in the early 20th century, have these features.
Air India’s new policy, effective from 2 May, introduces new weight limits for tickets in each of the different 'fare families' — Comfort, Comfort Plus, and Flex.
A theme has not yet emerged for BJP & people see lack of a contest, which makes it unexciting. For all these reasons, 2024 is turning out to be an unexpectedly theme-less election.
Very well researched & written. It is extremely painful to see land prospering with Marathi millworkers once upon a Time being misused by vested interests
Why are we so tolerant ?? When will we wake up only after a tragedy strikes ? I could have been at Kamala Mills YOU could have been there your friend could have been there THEN ???? As I read more & more about the fire I just keep wondering why can’t people be more responsible? Cutting corners to Save a few bucks huh ?? And now the blame game
Begins !!
It’s time we wake up & stop tolerating just about anything & everything !
Indeed a Sad way to end 2017 …
It’s time we wake up
Hey madam why are you cribbing and complaining ? You are maharashtrian i.e. Marathi. As you have pointed out, this pub was built on the mill land. This mill (& many other mills in this area ) shut down and hundreds of mill worker got unemployed. Many of them remained unemployed for rest of their life and committed suicide. Majority of those workers were Marathi. When those workers died at that time did any Non- Marathi newspaper or person raised its/his voice for support of these workers ? No…. So why Should we Marathi people raise our voice now ..here no Marathi got killed in this accident.,Most of those who died in this accident were either Gujaratis or Marwari or Sindhis i.e. ( non Marathi) . Even the pub owner was non Marathi. Most of them came from other states. So why should we Maharashtrians care about it ? Just chill !
Tragic. We have First World level real estate prices / rentals, often get Third World standards of planning, safety, civic amenities. While the BMC officials must take their share of the blame, each establishment that attracts high spending families must set exacting standards for itself. Fifty years ago, when M S Oberoi built his hotel in Delhi, India’s five star hotels were islands of excellence and world class hospitality in a sea of socialism.
