The police action on July 20 may have exacerbated this trend but it most certainly did not start this ugly trend.
Ms. Mondal, quite evidently, is engaging in propaganda journalism. She keeps propping up the now-familiar strawman of the BJP IT cell. I would be really happy if the BJP IT cell were to actually file a legal defamation case against ThePrint and Ms. Mondal.
Apart from all that, who is her expert commentator on the subject? Mr. Mohammad Zubair – an avowed Islamist who was responsible for the entire Nupur Sharma episode. Because of him, she has to move around with bodyguards and is even now subjected to ‘sar tan se juda’ threats.
