Although Gen Bajwa seems to be a Straight Shooter , but like his predecessors he seems to have no choice it is the mind set of a ethnically divided nation (Sindhi Punjab , Pathan, Baluchi & Mohajir ) with Punjab being the overlord of the nation because most of the Generals and soldiers come from that province Mr Bajwa has no choice – Sooner or later this set up has to Crack and most provinces may go the way of Bengla Desh . Unless the Military Establishment see’s the light and allow the provinces to have their own legitimate rights maybe the time has come for the Central government just to have 3 portfolios Currency, Foreign policy and Defense everything else left to the Provinces , Personally I like the Chechen model ! where Russia coughs up the money provides soldiers for Russian wars over seas but Chechnya is practically and independent country .
Dear Mr. Hussain Hqqani, though I do agree with every word, I would like to remind you specifically about Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain who started struggle against Military’s Intervention in Political Process and to get rights for the public 40 years ago but state tried to crush his strong voice. Pakistan Arm killed 15000 workers and put un-announced ban on MQM. Till date 25000 workers have been killed, hundreds are missing, hundreds are imprisoned without any right to defence.

After partition of Pakistan for a while it looked that democracy might take roots in Pakistan but alleged rigging of election by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and machinations of CIA, led to coup and his eventual execution at the hands of Gen. Zia ul Haq.Again after demise of Gen Zia there was were hopes of democracy which were thwarted by the military,ably assited by corrupt politicians.The end of Imran Khan would be no different from other politicians and he would be tolerated as long as he is useful to the Army.
