While active Coronavirus cases in India remained below 9 lakh for the eighth consecutive days, the death toll has surged to 1,12,161, according to the health ministry data.
While 63,83,441 people have recovered from Covid-19 taking the national recovery rate to 87.35%, the death toll climbed to 1,11,266 with the virus claiming 680 lives in a day.
