UNDP index released Tuesday shows 55% of India was living under multidimensional poverty by 2005-06. This halved to 27.7% by 2015-16 and reduced further to 16.4% by 2019-21.
There is an India represented by Tamil Nadu, and another by Bihar. They are far apart on human development, but both belong to the same India on electricity and drinking water.

The 125 APAs include 86 Unilateral APAs (UAPAs) and 39 Bilateral APAs (BAPAs). The total number of APAs since the start of the APA programme has risen to 641, with 506 UAPAs and 135 BAPAs.
