Undoubtedly Nehru was a good Foreign minister. Unfortunately that doesn’t apply to his role of Prime minister. His neglect of agriculture, primary education, hostility to individual enterprise were catastrophic for India. Added to this his failure to understand the science education and research ecosystem put India behind by decades. Finally his attitude of government knows best and should occupy the commanding height s of the economy, ensured that the Indian economy never reached it’s potential.
