We are now rapidly moving towards a curious mix of a banana republic and emerging fascist power.
With the key constitutional institutions, socio cultural institutions like Bollywood, media, business, all under it’s tight grasp, it will take a very determined opposition to dislodge the existing regime from its hold on power. Alas there’s none as yet.
And one suspects that powered by the so called transparent mechanisms like electoral bonds and the investigative agencies, it may be too late for anyone from opposition to attempt anything viable in 2024. The fifty years of rule is now very close to being firmly in the grasp of Shah Bhai.
All this assumes that the Govt which controls the investigating agencies really wants to get at the truth. It appears that the GOvt itself wants to probe only cases convenient to it and will put a lid on the agencies if the cases involve NDA members or NDA supporters
A valid argument. Should be investigated. Also, media has stopped covering the status of the Sahara Birla diaries, Essar diaries and Jaganmohan Reddy cases. In fact, with regards to Jaganmohan Reddy, nothing has happened in 5 years. A key accused who is supposed to give evidence is now a Rajya Sabha MP and no one is able to understand what the CHOWKIDHAR is doing. Has he aligned with corrupt politicians for the sake of political expediency?
How can the PM call himself a CHOWKIDHAR if 2 persons native to my place have been elected as Rajya Sabha MPs in the past 2 years who are pubicly known to be corrupt?
Yeddyursppa is not an urban Naxalite who can be arrested on flimsy grounds?Nor is he wheel chaired 95% disabled Prof.Saibaba who can be lifted from his house in New Delhi on charges of theft.Yeddyurapppa is a Bhakti,who finances Chowkidars.How dare one questions his honesty
