The selected cartoons appeared first in other publications, either in print or online, or on social media, and are credited appropriately.

In the lead cartoon, Alok Nirantar suggests that the only thing that BJP president Amit Shah lets Narendra Modi do is campaign for elections and go on quick foreign tours. After the Karnataka poll campaign ended, Modi left for Nepal Friday.

Surendra illustrates in The Hindu that, with the campaign over, the nation is waiting for the results of the hotly contested Karnataka election.

In Dainik Jagran, Madhav Joshi mocks election rallies, suggesting that politicians keep saying the same things at each one to try and convince voters.

Kirtish Bhatt suggests in BBC Hindi that there may still be hope for L.K. Advani, 90, to become the PM, after Malaysia’s Mohamad Mahathir, 92, pulled off a shock victory in the country’s general election this week, becoming the world’s oldest elected leader.

In Mail Today, Satish Acharya takes a jibe at the BJP’s ‘Mission-150’ in Karnataka, a plan to win over 150 of the state’s 224 assembly seats. However, according to the cartoonist, it looks like the BJP’s mission was to bring in as many ministers as they could to campaign for the party.
