In today’s featured cartoon, Irshad Kaptan alludes to the hazardous air pollution Delhi is experiencing.

The average air quality index in the NCR Saturday was recorded at 447. An AQI of over 400 is considered hazardous. Later, though, thanks to a change in the wind direction it improved slightly to ‘very poor’. In the cartoon by Kaptan, a man asks another where he is from and gets a cough in response, to which he replies — ‘Ah! You’re from Delhi’.

Neelabh, too, alludes to the poor air quality in the national capital and the introduction of restrictions by the Aam Aadmi Party government under its Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 4. These restrictions come while stubble burning in the AAP-ruled neighbouring Punjab have continued as usual, even seeing a 20 per cent rise.
