Two more Assam Congress MLAs extend support to Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP govt

New Delhi: The Assam government has received support from two more Congress MLAs. With the support of these two MLAs, the total number of Congress MLAs who have extended their support to the government has reached four. Earlier, two other Congress MLAs had extended their support.

Basanta Das and Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha have extended their support to the government. They had met the Chief Minister of Assam at his office. The Assam government has received support from two more Congress MLAs. With the support of these two MLAs, the total number of Congress MLAs who have extended their support to the government has reached four. Earlier, two other Congress MLAs had extended their support.

Assam will become a state where all the MLAs will support the state government and the central government, as the people are very happy with the work of the Prime Minister Modi in Assam. The state government is also trying to complement it, it is a double-engine government.

There is no opposition in Assam, as the people are breaking that compulsion and coming closer to the government. Basanta Das, a Congress MLA, has decided to support the government of Assam because of the greater development work of BJP.

He made this decision because of the greater development work of the BJP-led government at the central and state level.
