On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the list of a couple of political leaders when he took a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj during the ongoing Kumbh Mela.

During his visit, he also thanked and acknowledged the efforts of the boatmen, sanitation workers and the local population for making sure that the Kumbh remains clean and also taking care of the arrangements for the incoming devotees to the Kumbh.

Apart from performing the Ganga aarti, PM Modi also washed the feet of safai karamcharis (sanitation workers) as his way of showing respect.
