New Delhi: Friday marked the first death anniversary of former Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ram Vilas Paswan, who died after prolonged illness in 2020. To mark the occasion, his son, LJP MP Chirag Paswan, organised a function at the Union minister’s official residence where the family now lives.
Guests included leaders across party lines, including Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad. For Lalu, who is believed to be ailing, it was a rare public appearance in recent months.
