New Delhi: The new Viksit Bharat will be built on a strong foundation of scientific research, discoveries and the spirit of innovation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while inaugurating the two-day Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam Tuesday.
PM Modi said that India was once viewed as a nation trying to catch up in science and technology but today, India has reached a stage where it is building groundbreaking technologies for the future.
“True science is not defined by research alone, but by how it transforms people’s lives and reaches the market to serve the society,” he said.
The Ministry of Science and Technology organised a two-day annual event, ESTIC, to bring together ministries, innovators, and global visionaries and discuss the future of India’s advancements in the field of science.
