New Delhi: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s latest social media post is from his last adventure in the middle of the water. He is seen kickboxing with a Georgian mixed martial artist, Merab Dvalishvili.
“Back on the barge with @merab.dvalishvili. Round 2,” Zuckerberg wrote in the caption. If it isn’t clear, he is trying to say that he has done this kickboxing-in-the-water bit once before. Or something kind of kickboxing. The new sporty image of the Meta boss, who now identifies more as Zuck, is frequently trending on social media.
“Always great sparring and training with you bro!” wrote Dvalishvili. Nicknamed “The Machine”, he is known particularly for his relentless wrestling, takedowns and exceptional stamina. Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1991, Dvalishvili joined the UFC in 2017 and rose through the division with a long winning streak, eventually becoming the UFC bantamweight champion in 2024 after defeating Sean O’Malley. He successfully defended the title against Umar Nurmagomedov, O’Malley and Cory Sandhagen before losing the belt to Petr Yan by unanimous decision at UFC 323 in December 2025. His professional record currently stands at 21 wins and 5 losses.
The comment section of the post has many comments from Zuckerberg’s fans. “This is how I want all billionaire CEOs to handle beef moving forward,” wrote an Instagram user. The Meta CEO had, in fact, challenged Tesla CEO Elon Musk for a duel of sorts but that hasn’t been announced yet.

Stranded in Alaska
In other news, Zuckerberg’s $300 million superyacht has created controversy. It allegedly ignored a call for help from a boat stranded in Alaska. The 21-foot small open boat ran out of fuel between Petersburg and Juneau on Monday night near Kuiu Island in southeast Alaska. According to the US Coast Guard, the boat’s crew asked for help around 9:30 pm. Ultimately, a nearby cruise ship came to the rescue.
Zuckerberg’s 387-foot yacht, Launchpad, and its support vessel, Wingman, were reportedly closer to the stranded boat than the cruise ship operated by UnCruise Adventures.
A passenger aboard the cruise ship told the local news outlet Alaska Beacon that the captain announced during the rescue that Launchpad had been closer to the stranded boat but had declined to assist.
“I’m on a small-ship Alaska cruise with my son. Our boat rescued a stranded vessel last night, and apparently we did that after the Coast Guard radioed Mark Zuckerberg’s yacht – which was closer – and they repeatedly refused to respond,” the passenger posted on Bluesky.
No reports have claimed that Zuckerberg was kickboxing in the same water body where his superyacht was stationed.
