New Delhi: Piyush Bhagat and Shazia Samji are set to choreograph dance moves for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King. The duo has previously worked with Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Saif Ali Khan.

On 1 October, Bhagat posted that their next work is with SRK and that they can now retire peacefully.

“Now we can retire in peace. Came to Bollywood to achieve something; now what’s bigger than this? Absolutely nothing,” the Instagram post read.

The duo also thanked the director of the film, Siddharth Anand, and co-producer Mamta Anand.

“For believing in us when no one so accomplished ever believed in us. Lots of love and luck to them from the bottom of our hearts. Now wait for the songs to hit the internet because it’s King of Bollywood,” the caption read.

The duo rose to fame as individual contestants on season 2 of the reality show Dance Plus in 2016. After that, they co-founded PS Dance Studio in Mumbai and collaborated on films such as Fighter (2024), Liger (2022), Pati Patni Aur Woh Do (2026) and Dhamaal 4 (2026), as well as music videos with Diljit Dosanjh on ‘Kufar’ (2025).

The film’s music will be given by Anirudh Ravichander and the duo of Sachin-Jigar. Along with Khan, the film has a long list of stars, including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji and Suhana Khan.

King is set to release in theatres on 24 December. Recently, Khan did an Ask SRK session on X, where a fan asked about reuniting with Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji in King. Khan described the experience as “the best ever”.

“It’s lovely always to work with my best friends,” he said.

One fan asked Khan to share some dialogues from the film, saying they could not wait to hear his voice until December.

Khan said it was too early to release dialogues from the film, but decided to make a dialogue on the spot after several fans requested it.

“24 December ko King, picture abhi baaki hai… King akela kaafi hai (King on December 24, the picture is still left to be seen… King alone is enough),” he said.

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
