New Delhi: Salman Khan brought up his rift with Shah Rukh Khan on the first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9. The new season premiered on JioHotstar on 14 October, with Salman as the first guest. Karisma Kapoor later joined him on the couch as a special guest to conduct the rapid fire round.

At the beginning of the conversation, KJO mentioned that he still feels nervous and stressed around Salman.

“No one gets me more stressed, nervous, and hyper than you. I don’t know why, it hasn’t changed,” Karan said. Salman was quick to ask if there was a reason behind Karan’s nervousness.

“Is it because of you or is it because of somebody else?” Salman asked. “Right now you should not be stressed because everything is all good. It’s been good for the longest time.”

The actor went on to specify that he was referring to his fallout with SRK.

“At one point of time, it was not good. So, I could have understood that you were scared of me, not because of you, but because of Shah Rukh,” he added.

Karan laughed and denied the allegation, assuring Salman that it wasn’t the case.

Salman-Shah Rukh fallout

Salman and Shah Rukh had an infamous fallout after an argument at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in Mumbai in July 2008. The argument reportedly happened due to a disagreement over their respective television shows, Dus Ka Dum (2008) and Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain? (2008).

Karan, who was reportedly present at the party, left with SRK and his wife, Gauri Khan, after the argument.

The cold war between SRK and Salman continued for years before they eventually set their differences aside. In July 2013, they shared a public hug at Baba Siddique’s Iftaar party, putting an end to their conflict. The two went on to share multiple stages after that, including Bigg Boss, at different occasions.

In fact, Salman stood by SRK during one of his toughest times, when Aryan Khan was arrested in the Mumbai cruise drug case.

Coming back to Salman’s KWK episode, during the rapid fire round, the actor referred to SRK as his “brother.” He even suggested that SRK looks good shirtless.
