NRC affidavit in HC reeks of politics ahead of polls. Revisiting NRC will reopen more wounds

NRC Coordinator Hitesh Dev Sarma’s affidavit in Gauhati High Court with 4,795 “ineligible” names, which he himself says isn’t final, smacks of politics ahead of assembly polls. The NRC list of 31 August 2019 was final, Supreme Court said. Revisiting it now will cause unnecessary chaos and reopen more wounds.
