Nirmala Sitharaman’s Imran-Modi remark is just embarrassing for India
Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman calling Pakistani PM Imran Khan’s praise for Narendra Modi a possible Congress ploy is a laughable attempt to reclaim her party’s hate-Pakistan campaign mode. It is also embarrassing for a country of India’s size and significance to drag Pakistan into the centrestage of its national election.
This goes beyond a namby pamby debate over use of inappropriate language or the colour of innerwear. It is now really for voters to decide.
