ASEAN Secretary-General to participate in World Economic Forum meeting in Saudi Arabia

New Delhi: The World Economic Forum (WEF) has invited the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr Kao Kim Hourn, to participate in its Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development, to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 28-29 April 2024.

The ASEAN Secretariat said in a statement that Dr. Kao will also discuss the ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Joint Regional Strategy Dialogue and hold bilateral meetings with various world leaders, including the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdulla Bin Touq and the Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia Majid Al-Kasabi.

The WEF is a global economic forum dedicated to promoting sustainable development and inclusive growth.
