New Delhi: From the judgment in activist-advocate Prashant Bhushan’s contempt case to the never-ending saga of the probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, Twitter discussed several topics Monday.
First up, the much-awaited judgment in Bhushan’s contempt case was announced Monday with the Supreme Court slapping the advocate with a fine of Re 1. Bhushan, on his part, accepted the judgment ‘gracefully’.
My lawyer & senior colleague Rajiv Dhavan contributed 1 Re immediately after the contempt judgement today which I gratefully accepted pic.twitter.com/vVXmzPe4ss

Bhushan may have gotten off easy but advocate Kiruba Munusamy draws attention to the two Pinjra Tod activists Devangana Kalita and Natasha Narwal, who have been in jail for the past 100 days.
It's been 100 days since Devangana Kalita and Natasha Narwal have been arrested and imprisoned under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for protesting against CAA-NRC defending the citizenship rights of Indian Muslims.#ReleaseAllPoliticalPrisoners#RepealUAPA pic.twitter.com/1wxJD1MP4V

Actor Taapsee Pannu gives some sage advice among the cacophony that usually surrounds the Sushant Singh Rajput-Rhea Chakraborty case.
I didn’t know Sushant on a personal level nor do I know Rhea but what I know is, it only takes to be a human to understand how wrong it is to overtake judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty. Trust the law of the land for your sanity and the deceased’s sanctity ?? https://t.co/gmd6GVMNjc

Onto some JEE and NEET news.
Even though the JEE Mains are all set to begin tomorrow, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy makes one last ditch effort to get it postponed.
I have phoned the PM residence this morning to try one last time for postponing NEET/JEE exams beyond Deepavali. The office secretary said that he will call back. If that happens I will inform the students.

Here is Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s promise to students appearing for NEET-JEE exams.

In other news, Congress’ Shashi Tharoor calls out Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his wishes on Vamana Jayanti, which irked several Keralites. Vamana Jayanti is celebrated to mark the occasion of Lord Vamana defeating King Mahabali, who was considered a great king in Kerala. The festival of Onam, which is a major festival in Kerala, commemorates the return of the king every year to visit his people.
Offended Keralites have responded to this insult to their beloved King Mahabali by trending #HappyOnamKejriwal. Any Keralites who were misguided enough to vote for @AAPDelhi should remember this as they enjoy their Thiruvonam sadyas tomorrow! https://t.co/uSYXMRot2Q

BJP National Secretary Sunil Deodhar leads by example when it comes to ‘adopt, don’t shop’.
I’ve been a 'Dog person' since childhood & have served stray dogs ever since.
5yrs ago I found ‘Mr.Sunny’ in very sick & pathetic condition.
I adopted him & brought him home.
In today's #MannkiBaat, @narendramodi ji appealed on virtues of adopting dogs of Indian origin as pets. pic.twitter.com/8bTWa7K7e3

Activist Aakar Patel calls out Indians for their obsession with Bollywood gossip.
Modi knows you’re so dumb that a recession, China inside the border, record unemployment and an uncontrolled epidemic claiming 1,000 Indians a day is less important than Bollywood gossip.

In election drama from overseas: Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden issues an open challenge to President Donald Trump.
We must not become a country at war with ourselves.
A country that accepts the killing of fellow Americans who do not agree with you. A country that vows vengeance toward one another.
But that is the America that President Trump wants us to be, the America he believes we are.

While President Trump selectively calls out violence in Democrat states.
The only way you will stop the violence in the high crime Democrat run cities is through strength!
