New Delhi: Tributes poured in for noted playwright and actor Girish Karnad who passed away on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too remembered him, calling the late actor versatile “across all mediums”.

Young gun Jignesh Mevani also sent out a tweet remembering Karnad. He remembered the “me too urban naxal’’ placard that Karnad had put around his neck at an event organised to mark the first death anniversary of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru.
