This is the first thing u people do to ensure that people from mrginalised and most humble economic and social background do not even come any near to prosperity that u people have been always enjoying. No shift in the ideology of centuries of forbidding people from these marginalised communities to access education nd respectful employment. Now it’s the so-called merit that u nd ur likes try to use as a weapon to try to keep them away from accessing education nd respectful employment. Talk now not for merit necessarily but for inclusivity in this country of great diversities. Moreover u nd ur likes haven’t ever praised, acclaimed etc when a girl from this marginalized section tops the upsc, a boy tops the iit with 100 percent marks or when a lady from tribal community becomes the vice chancellor of a university. The list is endless. U may not be able to grapple with the truth. Change ur mindset nd see a change in front of you
Right!
Having worked in the private corporate sector for several years, it is my view that the private corporate sector neither knows nor cares about caste. Unlike people of colour, who can be easily identified by looks, there is no way to identify Dalits merely by looks. As regards surnames, many are actually interchangeable and not necessarily identified with any community. In fact in many south Indian states people use only the first name of their father, husband or even the house or village name to identify themselves. If a person truly wishes it is very easy to make sure that a person is identified only by his or her work. Instead of any corporate trying to include more Dalits or more backward castes or more women, they should try to include the most competent people for the job. And instead of trying to get a board seat or promotion due to the caste or gender, a person should get it because he or she is the best person for the job. In fact giving a position just to attest to ‘inclusivity’ as suggested by the author is an insult to the competence of a truly deserving employee as his / her performance is then judged through a caste / gender lens. Once a person is properly educated he or she should be judged only on performance. While it is good to encourage everyone else not to judge people on their caste, it is equally important for people to stop using their caste as a crutch. If it is equality that is desired then the feeling should first come from within. Believe in yourself and in your ability to compete.
Rightly said this has to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in some time if they want to fight against inequality they must become competent to do the job they have already taken up reservation in government sector and education which is actually unequal this guy asking for reservation in private sector is one of the people who doesn’t care about Dalits just exploits the fact that reservation has made life easier for them.

Dumbest thing I’ve read in a really long while. Please focus on improving quality not caste composition.
