Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Congress sponsored the event where a cyber expert claimed EVMs were rigged to favour BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
At ex-MP Jay Panda’s book launch, Congress’ Manish Tewari says SC struck down a similar attempt in 1991. But Prasad says it won’t be a legal amendment.
Children should be protected from sexual offences and the Cabinet has approved amendments to various sections of the POCSO Act, said union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Over generations, Bihar’s bane has been its utter lack of urbanisation. But now, even Bihar is urbanising. Or let’s say, rurbanising. Two decades under Nitish Kumar have created a new elite in its cities.
Indian govt officials last month skipped Turkish National Day celebrations in Delhi, in a message to Ankara following its support for Islamabad, particularly during Operation Sindoor.
Bihar is blessed with a land more fertile for revolutions than any in India. Why has it fallen so far behind then? Constant obsession with politics is at the root of its destruction.
1. I think it is better to ignore individuals like Syed Shuja who had made wild, unsubstantiated allegations about electronic voting machine (EVM). Such individuals clamour for cheap publicity and hence need not be taken seriously. 2. So-called experts with perverse mind and ideology, can go to any extent to prove that EVM can be manipulated. 3. Comparisons with election processes in other countries are simply out of context with the ground reality in our country. 3. We as citizen-voters know that in past the Election Commission of India (ECI) had given many an opportunity to anyone to prove that EVM can be hacked. Fact is that not one individual came forward to submit any proof. Strangely someone wishes to hack an EVM in London to prove that EVM can be manipulated in India! 4. Opposition parties are just opposing use of EVM for a silly reason- that it is possible for BJP to hack EVMs. If BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan & Chhattisgarh could manipulate EVMs, BJP would have handsomely won recently held State Assembly elections in these States. 5. We, citizen-voters of this vast country must oppose the opposition parties’ attempt to go back and use ballot papers which are far more unsafe in our country.
