Despite being on party’s star campaigners list and great demand across states, cricketer-turned-TV celeb hasn’t gone anywhere at the high command’s behest.
Gill was never armed with more than his swagger stick. He said carrying a firearm was an admission of failure by a police officer. Yet, he always fought to win.
Under this model, battery is provided to EV owners on a subscription basis or lease. With more people open to buying EV cars, the lower upfront cost could likely drive wider acceptance.
The armoured platform is India's first amphibious infantry combat wheeled vehicle. Last year, the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces had procured 90 military trucks from the Tata Group.
How come Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey and Sri Lanka remain constitutional, democratic and stable despite Islam and Buddhism respectively, but Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar don’t?
Justin Trudeau, The Prime Minister of Canada did exactly what he meant to do while in India. I had a glimpse of Canmadian News paper that made it very clear on one thing that the up coming elections in Canada Trudeau faced having to support a Sikh candidate for the post of Prime Minister and some of the journalists in Canada said that he is now = Sardar Justin Singh Trueau, or Shere Punjab. meaning that for the Sikh community hack home in Canada acceptability of Justine Trudeau has increased manifold and threat from the Sikh community that he faced is decreased. This is number one.
Trudeau like his predecessor Stephen Harper, told the Indian Govt. so to say very bluntly- ” He is not going to sacrifice Canadian’s freedom of speech to prevent people saying things that upset India.” That there is a message for Modi and his Govt. if there is any, since it is Modi Govt. that he should know what does it mean and learn to practice democracy at home.
The last but not the least at the end of it all $1 billion deals were made that would create 5800 new jobs back home in Canada. Can Modi say whose ‘Make in India’ what ever it is now, has created how many jobs having signed MOU with Canada?
It was Modi who invited Justine Trudeau, not as a private citizen but the invitation was extended to the Prime Minister of Canada. To one who represent the 36.29 million people and not having given that was due to him has caused insult to the people of Canada. This is the brilliant stroke of Modi in making enemy out of a friend. And the journalists in India need to learn from Canadian Journalists not to be slave to the establishment.
I am really pained at the arguments of some of the local leaders including from AAP party, who covertly or overtly support the secession of India. If Trudeau is openly supporting Khalistan then why doesn’t he let it to be carved out from Canada? Or why don’t the Khalistanis fight with Pakistan where Sikhs are still religiously being persecuted??
On article above mentioned FREE SPEECH IN CANADA:
In Canada recently when citizens made comments about Trudeau they were called NAZIS by the Prime
Minister’s Aide and he stood by his aide on this comment. Free speech is becoming somewhat of at
threat to the liberal party it seems. One has to live in Canada to see the difficulties of living under this
party. NO money for Veterans yet giving away millions, also for some unknown reason to date he
also gave a huge donation to the Clinton Foundation. In time we will find the story behind that I am
sure.
What I don’t understand is why Canadian PM is not taking steps to carve out a piece of land in Canada and allow it to be turned into Khalistan. I am sure he will receive full support from everyone. The resolution passed there and now getting imitated in US and UK was clearly aimed at Indian official. I don’t think it is merely freedom of expression. He had to be snubbed and he has rightly been. Right now the trade between both the countries is evenly balanced. No official comes to any country including ours without any interest of there own. Looking at the market India is everyone is interested in investing here. In case investing in India right now seems to be of lowest risk. Very high chances that few years down the line some one will corner all the money and run away preferably to Canada only. What can better investment option.
Indian government’s treatment of the Canadian PM is as per protocol and absolutely correct. We should not go overboard to the PM of a country that that at least two Khalisthani supporters in its council of ministers. The message should be clear to him.
Seriously who says Pm should meet every visiting foreign dignitary? Stop following your social media friends post and start reading books.
Modi did not exactly break any protocol by refusing to receive the Canadian PM at the Delhi airport this time around.PM need not accompany a visiting dignitary everywhere. he was not present even when Iranian President Hassan Rouhani visited Hyderabad on Friday.
Without even thinking or studying India’s constitution some just write their dream thoughts. Governments work on some rules and discipline and not on emotions.
This is bad for Punjab which is already facing problems like farmer suicides and deplorable conditions in education and health sector. Canada has a large Indian diaspora in general and people of Punjabi origin in particular. Remittances received from Canada to Punjab help running many household. Many people there would be more than happy to invest here, would want to help in development and growth and we could stand to gain a lot. Lastly, we should also keep in mind that the Canadian PM is an elected representative and should be treated like one.
I think this not the right way to treat the canadian PM After all he is our guest and we should not forget our tradition His domestic compulsions notwithstanding
Countries constantly tottering on the edge of referendums — reality of this world 100 years after the war. Quebec, Scotland, Crimea – it doesn’t spare anyone. Vengeance is always all consuming, and there’s pretty much no logic to how and how long it can fester. I wonder why governments don’t ever put in effort to not reach the brink. Are diplomats and peace-negotiators across the world asleep, or have Governments turned so vile that there’s no way back. India is a clear-cut picture, frankly — if the majority keeps treating minorities like manure, it will have to be ready for something snapping somewhere. Majority’s hatred of minorities is oxygen for discontent. Pipe down the hatred, and you’ll find the courage to laugh at demands of Khalistan. Bury a guilt conscience smugly and your hatred will get reflected in any minority: Muslims, Sikhs, Dalits, women, farmers, anyone. It’s not rocket science. Congress has to come clean on 84 excesses. And BJP which has gone mental and created mini minorities even within Hindus, will have to rein in their thugs. There’s no dearth of divisions in India, and contrary to majority belief, noone likes daily staple of violence. Ignoring Trudeau is churlish ofcourse. But not meeting that Def minister is also foolish. What are you – in Class 3 of school? Hear out the rabble rouser or you ll be caught clueless like always. “I won’t talk to you” is so Class 3.
