World over, beards are sending messages about politicians like Trudeau and Beto O’Rourke. And Modi’s white beard and Rahul Gandhi’s clean-shaven look are no different.
The emergence of Patidar leader Hardik Patel's private videos in the middle of a heated election campaign raises questions about just how much such scandals affect election outcomes.
The issue of inequality has assumed the blazing limelight at a time when inequality in India is said to be higher than it was in the British Raj. It's a ripe situation for half-truths and incendiary statements.
Speaking at launch of economist Surjit Bhalla’s book, S Jaishankar also highlights Gen Z’s engagement with ‘reel culture’, which has 'promoted awareness, created interest in many subjects'.
Germany’s erstwhile Christian Democratic Union govt, led by Angela Merkel, prevented sale of small arms to police forces in states they perceived had ‘bad human rights record’.
Much ado about mere hair! I think Modi is wrong in growing longer beard and mustache. He should trim them, which would give him more smart and business-line appearance. Forget what Shivaji or Krishnadevaraya looked like.
Mr. Rahul is forever confused. Nothing to do with makeover and the rather funny attempt to derive conclusions from the looks he chooses to carry. But the perennial fact has been that Mr. Rahul Gandhi really hasn’t made his stance clear on a whole lot of issues. Also, in a young aspirational society, people want solutions to problems. Mr. Rahul has always shied away from giving a concrete solution. As a matter of fact, he has said things which led to his famous nick too. Its not all branding by the opposition. Its also his own doing in not presenting a concrete image of himself making it clear in what he believes in and what he does not.
Any makeover PappuG does unfortunately doesn’t hide the fact that he is a half-wit fool in disguise. It’s laughable to actually believe that this confirmed idiot of a failure can make another “comeback”.
I think facial hair are not something which is linked to delivery of work. Even my class mates in school and College wore different style of facial hair. Sikhs like me always have facial hair so we are born sanyasis then. Mahatma Gandhi only had a moustache, swami vivekananda was clean shaven and so on. We Sikhs have long beard but atleast comb and maintain it everyday, not like Modi who is trying to stay dirty. What a joke is this article. Modi must work.
Government looking ineffectual ? What else can we expect from Rahul’s cronies in the media. A meaning drag kind of comparison between Rahul and Modi when Rahul in anyway, is no match for Modi. Comparisons are made between equals. Not between rich spoilt brats and hard working men, not between those who have got power on platter and those who worked their way to it, not between those whose family business is only fighting for seat of power while the other vows to serve the nation and its janta, not between those who have taint of corruption and communalism since last 60 years and the one who has absolutely unblemished record of governance with honesty and integrity. A lot many things can still be said but drawing comparisons on facial make up of the two is a manifestation of depths to while a servile, gushing media is going down to please its master in the congress while Modi just rightfully ignores them. Very bad journalism. No wonder most journos today are discredited lot.
You are right that Modi and Rahul must not be compared with each other. But then the BJP politics is based on morbid fear of the Congress. Congress is the reference axis of BJP and it did need not to be that way since May 2014 when the former sent less than 50 members to the LS.
Cong is trying very hard to die but the BJP is trying hard to keep it alive.
This article makes me more concerned about less participation of women in politics.

Ha ha.
Now, Modi’s persona is being discussed in the light of his beard, that is really funny.
