With a mix of fiction and non-fiction, including some brilliant Bangla stories never translated into English, the book tries to present a holistic view of Partition.
Gurinder Chaddha’s film on partition has no real victors – all characters are taken over by a sense of defeat and betrayal. And just as well.

Mr. Ashutosh …u are an idot and just for the sake of seeking some attention, you have written a fiction. It is the same propaganda, which Pakistan’s ISI and some Kashmiri propagandist deliberately spread to give some justification of Kabali attack on Kashmir and for your stupid little mind…Jammu was Dogra Heartland and was never a Muslim dominated..nor even Kashmir was Muslim Dominated. You don’t have any facts and its pity that The Print chose to publish such fiction with all wrong facts. Just because of people like you, Pakistan and their propagandist still find support in our own Nation. Any money taken dude ?? Kisi Pakistani bhai sey dhamki aayi ??
Why does The Print not write the similar atrocities done on Kashmiri pundits, as to how they were bundled out of their houses one cold winter night? Or as to how they were taunted that Pandit males can leave, but their womenfolk be left back in the valley? Or as to how the local government in the valley is ready to settle Rohingyas in Jammu but not let displaced pundits settle back there? Enough of one sided stories please. Give the counter narrative as well.
