Dont go by the newspaper reports. The lowest salary for central govt employee is stil at 18,000/-. What is shown as 20 percent and 23 percent increase is after a gap of 10 years and many employees hardly had a hike of 3k to 4 k. What is given on one hand is taken back in the form of income tax. Employees of Central govt are completely disappointed wkith the 7th pay commission because whatever increase or benefits is only on paper.
No body talks about the vulgar salaries dolled out to Central Government employees after the 7th pay commision. Nearly 3. 5 trillion for 11 million employees and pensioners. For what? The MPs at least will have to slug it out every five years
