Madcap CM. Highly irresponsible. Not even a semblence or even a pretense of decency. Incidentally, compare the photos of Aishe Ghosh of JNU and Mamta Banarjee. I think, Aishe Ghosh is going to be the next Mamta Banarjee.
1. Smt Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of West Bengal (WB), and head of Trinamool Congress (TC) is a very intelligent politician. She knows that next year’s WB assembly election will be a tough contest as she will have to deal with 3 political opponents: BJP, Left parties and the Congress. 2. She also knows that she has to keep her minority voters in good humour and that is the reason for anti-CAA slogans. 3. It is absolutely clear that political future of Smt Mamata Banerjee as also of TC s not rosy as she or party may imagine. In this context, let us not forget that defeat of the Leftists in WB in 2011 was not because of any change in ideological preferences of voters. Smt Banerjee could then convince voters that the Left parties had failed to ensure economic development of WB and hence they left must be ousted from power. Question is whether after throwing the Leftists out of power, Smt Banerjee has succeeded in bringing new industrial investments to WB or in creating many job opportunities. Answer is NO. Let us see how Smt Banerjee deals with her failures.
Main target of CAA NRC is WB. Let’s see whether Mamata can overcome this. Odds are against her. Majoritarian communlism, anti incumbency ,ever present people’s desire for poriborton (change) etc are the challenges she will face.
Yes! Balancing act indeed ! People are waiting to see the actual drama in 2021!
