When Rajiv Gandhi started he could do no wrong. Halfway through his five years, he could do no right. His tenure had many chastening lessons in how mega mandates can make you smug and self-destruct. That was a great article. Well, we shouldn’t judge as who may be the killers but the pattern does show the hand of some extreme organization. What should concern us is the failure of our top security organizations to nab the culprits of Dabholkar, Kalburgi and Pansare. In the past, we have seen that, if there was any big incidence, where the whole nation’s attention got involved, then it took a very little time for the security agencies to nab the culprits. Mumbai and Delhi police do this often and we have seen this during Nirbhaya and Mumbai rape cases. But the failure of police to track culprits shows that there must be some organization which is helping these people to remain intact in some isolated place. We need immediate search operations before these killers move out of the country.
