Rather than such tokenisms, the most appropriate tribute to those who died would have been to investigate and punish all those who were responsible and those whose failed their duties. Did our security dispensation revise their procedures to prevent such acts in the future? How could they have when they have? They have scant knowledge of how this was perpetrated in the first place. We do have a National Security Adviser but this position seems to be more political and ceremonial. We see him busy trying to bring back economic fugitives from foreign shores, or attempting to repatriate small time hoodlums from Dubai or sending back hapless young girls fleeing from the tyranny of their mysoginistic dictatorial fathers! Look at the way the US reacted after 9/11. They refined their security procedures thereafter and have continued refining them that there has not been a single incident following that. We are so moronic that we have not learnt from our own mistakes. Perhaps, human lives our cheap in our country or perhaps, the deaths have been adequately milked for winning elections and so serve no purpose now.
