Ex-state home minister Deshmukh is facing allegations of corruption & misconduct first levelled by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, in the aftermath of the Sachin Waze case.
The state has moved the high court alleging that some portions of the FIR registered by CBI against Deshmukh were intended to destabilize the Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP govt.
The arbitrator appointed by the court had held the termination of DCHL's IPL team Deccan Chargers Hyderabad illegal and the sum plus 10% interest to be computed from 2012.
An FIR was booked against Singh under the SC/ST Act in April on a complaint lodged by inspector BR Ghadge, who alleged that Singh had conspired to embroil him in some extortion cases.
The court dismissed Singh's plea seeking transfer of inquiries against him outside Maharashtra & termed it shocking that the former commissioner showed distrust in the police.
The court was hearing a plea seeking a direction to the govt to start a door-to-door vaccination programme for senior citizens above the age of 75 and specially-abled persons.
The HC held that Rana’s claim of belonging to ‘Mochi’ caste was made with the intention of obtaining various benefits available to a candidate from such category.
'Near to home' vaccination sessions can be conducted in non-health facilities and will be linked to an existing Covid vaccination centre, said the affidavit submitted by Centre.
The court said it wanted to ascertain whether the Centre was ensuring an 'equitable distribution' of drugs based on the number of active cases of Mucormycosis in each state.
