I like the ardency with which the article has been written. The ardency of achieving unity within the Indian society. However, some facts are surely twisted. Dr. Ambedkar was soft in his earlier part, but the indecency of the caste Hindus made him more blunt gradually. His every act was scholarly substantiated in his own words. Though some enlightened Brahmins & upper caste Hindus supported & stood with him, even for burning the Manusmriti, the contemporaneous Hindu society was brutal towards him, which has not changed much now. Whatever the depressed persons will do to assert themselves, the consequences depend on the majority party. Ambedkar was ubiquitously branded as an extremist & anti-national during his time. And this feeling has not changed even today in majority caste Hindus. And nothing will change until efforts are heightened to enlighten the caste Hindus about their cancerous mindsets. Some nation-wide program with the lead of some enlightened caste Hindus is of dire need.
Castes system is exist since 6th centuries B. C. And manu made strong rules by writing manusmruty after 6 century A. C. After accomplishing maury destiny by bramin bruhddat. So therefore castes system is not exist because of reservation, the reservation is there on the basis of castes system. Until castes abolish reservation will be there. All hindu spoke to abolish CS, but they do not take any positive stape. & add their castes name before religion. When all hindu will get right to be a brhmin, then castes system will come to an end. How many years brhmin will be brhmin remains, the upper castes/OBC/SC/ST all must get right to be a brhmin in hindu society.
What a bunch of lies! Waving a shoe — Ambedkar staged a mass burning of a Hindu religious text. Every part of this is ahistorical and extremely incorrect. Ambedkar was against Hinduism, and he did not care what the Hindus or liberals thought about that. Read Philosophy of Hinduism. Read Annihilation of Caste. Read the introduction to annihilation of caste and about how the Hindus he planned to deliver it to eventually found it too extreme and inflammatory to be read as planned. As for imposing his ideas on others, if you read States and Minorities, he proposed refusing to admit states into the union which had not met certain human rights standards. He (correctly, IMO) viewed the creation of a powerful federal government to be a means of enforcing these standards on people all over the country.
Great writting. I am a Hindu from so called upper caste but I am totally against caste system. If Caste based Reservations and Acts like Atrocity Act are abolished and any mention of caste in Educational, Govt, Commercial, Employment places is banned then caste system will wither out.
Yes reservation should abolish but first justice should be done which is caste Hindu should be barred from all educational institutions at least for 500 years

Every word written make sense and if we want our country to truly follow the path show by Ambedkar, we must refrain from extreme expression of any kind of critic of religion per say.
