Beed: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the opposition, saying history will have a mention of those who ridiculed the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday in Maharashtra.

Addressing an election rally at Parli in Beed district, he said the next week’s state Assembly polls were a battle between BJP’s “karyashakti” (power of development) and opposition’s “swarth shakti” (selfishness).

“History will take note of every person who ridiculed the abrogation of Article 370,” he said.

Further targeting the Congress and NCP leaders, he wondered if “frustrated and dejected” people could do anything good for people.

“The process of jailing those who looted public money has begun,” the prime minister said.

He expressed confidence that the BJP will break all victory records in the October 21 Maharashtra Assembly elections.

  1. History will remember those who opposed scrapping of Article 370 like it remembers those who opposed the advance of Clive at Plassay. It took another 200 years to reverse that set-back. hope we’ll win this one sooner…

  2. SC has asked the government to provide its order copy through which it imposed complete shutdown of Kashmir. That order will be examined for its legal soundness. Who knows, it may not pass the muster SC may strike it down. In that case government will be asked to revert to pre-5-August status. Mr Modi will prove to be the modern day Tuglaq who wanted to change his capital to Hyderabad but was forced to return to Delhi.

  3. Modi won the Lok Sabha elections solely on the Balakot issue. Now he wants to win the State elections on 370. People should first go to Kashmir and see the oppression there. They are not calling it a UT (Union Territory) but an OT (Occupied Territory). Neither has terrorism ended nor has Kashmir improved in any way. History will indeed remember Modi for all his “surgical” blunders. As the old saying goes “The operation was successful but the patient died”!

  4. History will remember those who opposed scrapping of Article 370, says PM Modi. The same history will remember 175 people on the ATM line.

  5. sometimes talk about economic slowdown, continued joblessness, law & order in UP, etc. How long will BJP keep harping on 370 and Pakis??
