In today’s featured cartoon, Satish Acharya takes a dig at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s dichotomy on Opposition unity. A staunch critic of the Congress, Mamata lowered her tone after the national party’s massive victory in Karnataka and said her party, the Trinamool Congress, would support the Congress only if it was willing to “sacrifice” its aspiration for her state.

In the final cartoon, Sandeep Adhwaryu mocks the current media attention around ex-Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede, who is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 25 crore not to implicate actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan in a drug case. On the other hand, the ongoing protest for proper action against wrestling body chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has fallen on deaf ears, the cartoonist hints.
