The best cartoons of the day, chosen by editors at ThePrint.

The selected cartoons appeared first in other publications, either in print or online, or on social media, and are credited appropriately.

Bob Moran | The Telegraph

On the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, Bob Moran in The Telegraph pays tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives during the war. The day is also observed as Armistice Day, when an agreement was signed between Germany and the Allies to end the war. The Armistice came into force at the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” of 1918.

Graeme Bandeira | The Yorkshire post

In The Yorkshire Post, Graeme Bandeira too pays tribute to the bravehearts of the First World War. In Britain, the day is observed as Remembrance Day or Poppy Day, when red artificial poppies are worn.

David Simonds | Political cartoon

David Simonds also pays his respects to the heroes of First World War. He also highlights the significance of poppies on this day.

Dave Brown | Twitter

Dave Brown reacts to US President Donald Trump firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions from his post.

The cartoonist depicts Trump devouring Sessions, and complaining that he wanted a ‘Big MacMueller’ (referring to the famous McDonalds burger). The reference is to Robert Mueller, the former FBI director, who is leading the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US elections.

Ben Jennings | Twitter

Ben Jennings has a funny take on Brexit secretary Dominic Raab’s admission that he had not understood the United Kingdom’s trade reliance on the Dover-Calais ferry route which connects England with France. The bird, in the cartoon, explains the importance of the English channel crossing to Raab.
